Typography is one of my favorite aspects of design and quite possibly one of the most important.  Good typography can make a good photo a great composition.  It can create identity, communicate a mood, or ruin a good design.  We’ve had a lot of requests for custom typography so I thought I would put together this entry to show some of what we’ve done.

You thought We Wouldn’t Notice is a great resource for artist/designers/whoever to report and see who is biting styles, or outright plagerizing others work for their own profit.  I have frequented the site now for years and have always enjoyed (and been appalled) by the art crimes they have exposed.  Check out the example above of Mike Giant’s own Rebel 8 clothing company hacked by  Shiroi Neko.

We have been developing a design for our good friends at Benetti’s Coffee.  For the last three years Benetti’s and the Raytown Chamber of Commerce have been working with The Royals to put on quite the party.  This year Ben from Benetti’s approached us about doing the design again and I had something in mind immediately!

Sometimes the final product ends up being very different from the initial sketches but that wasn’t really the case this time.

I really enjoy the ability to do everything in the same place from conception to product.  It’s the reason I work in the field I do and not at an ad agency or cubical based design firm.  We really love getting our hands dirty.
