Cotton

When you deal namely in printed apparel, cotton is everything.

These past few quarters you may have noticed prices increasing throughout the marketplace and there’s a lot of speculation across forums that these issues are going to get worse. The upticks in bellwethers like the Baltic Dry Index and the recent retreat in the futures markets leaves me hopeful that the trend may not only halt but potentially reverse.

We will have to weather out this storm of higher prices though. Most mills purchase their cotton seasons in advance in hopes that the current pricing is at a relative low point and mills purchasing right now will be reflecting higher prices when these goods go to market in months to come. There are also plenty of speculators in the marketplace at the finished good level buying up stock where they can before another series of price increases hits us. This can do things to adversely affect prices by showing more demand in the short term than what is actually there.

As our vendors increase prices we will do what we can to keep you competitive in the marketplace by offering up the best value blanks at the time, and pass along any vendor specials to help save you money.

Another Day On The Grind

We’ve all been working hard lately to fight that fall slump that it is tempting to fall into.

Ian working his customer service magic.  I’ve been designing some new marketing materials and working on bad posture.

Levi managing something and Cubby hard at work.

Judah searching for just the right ink.

Shane catching and stacking some Ugmonk shirts while Deets prints tags for Urban Outfitters.

And last but not least Captain Ryan Beye who appears to be hard at work but is probably reading something about narwals and bacon on Reddit.

Hope you had a great weekend.

Marketing Internship

Bandwagon Merchandise is looking for a business and marketing intern.

The immediate responsibility of this position is data entry and would be part-time. Business hours are 10 am to 6 pm, we can be flexible for the right person if you have limited availability. The position could become permanent for the right person. We love what we do and we hope you take the opportunity to learn more and love it too. Everyone here has different responsibilities and we all work together to market, brand, design, and screenprint a wide variety of products, everything from t-shirts and hoodies to album covers and posters.

The work environment is casual i.e. no uniform, but we work hard and are serious about company growth. We listen to a wide array of music throughout the shop from doom metal like Earth to hip hop like Atmosphere. Working at Bandwagon Merch requires the occasional burrito feast or pizza day.

Please send us an email as to why you think you’re the ideal intern. Provide us with your work history, why you think you’d be a good fit for the position and your contact information. Be creative! – Intern@bandwagonmerch.com

Please don’t just drop in, offer us bribes, or call. We’ll call you.

Hungry Like The Wolf Tour

We are very pleased to announce the Hungry Like The Wolf Tour.  Take It Back, Kills and Thrills, Dead Icons and Brothers.  The tour runs from October 8th through November 9th.  We developed this poster for the tour and are pretty happy with the outcome.

After the initial sketches were approved we moved onto painting the beast.

The final product seems to have pleased all.  We did our best to capture all of the bands on the tour and communicate the sound of the tour.  Here’s the final product.

If this town is coming to your area please support our friends.  They work hard for next to no money.  Oh, the life of a band.  Also, if you would like a full size version of the poster for yourself, or better yet to promote the show in your city, you can download it here.  Thanks.
