The economy is in the tank, the stock market is dropping, people are rioting in the streets.. but the sun is still shinning! We know people are having a hard time and we wanted to do our part with our latest batch of special pricing.

First off we have our 36 piece American Apparel special. Great for start up clothing lines. This deal includes 36 one color print, American Apparel 2001 ring spun shirts, tag removal, custom tag printing for your brand or information, folding and poly bagging for $400 dollars. That includes free screen setups and free shipping to any location in the U.S. The difference between this and previous sales is that we are going to allow variations on the special. For this special we will allow additional colors and locations added to the order, at standard rates.

The second special we are offering is essentially the same as the previous but more savings. 72 piece, 1 color, 1 location print, on American Apparel 2001 ring spun shirts, tag removal, custom tag printing, folding and polly bagging for $700 even. Free screen setups and free shipping to U.S. customers. Again, on this special we are going to allow variations. We will allow for additional colors and locations added to the order, at standard rates.

Last but definitely not least. The classic 50 piece special. 50 pieces, 1 color, 1 location, standard brand shirts (anvil 5.4oz 100%, fruit of the loom 5.6 oz 100%, gildan 5.4oz 100%), free screen setups and free shipping on all U.S. orders. There will be no room for deviations on this packaged pricing.

At this point the conversation ceased. Most of these scams involve purchasing of blank shirts with a next day air shipment to be paid for with a stolen credit card. This would-be thief decided to capitalize on the goodwill of others in hopes to unload these so shortly after the literal wave of devastation that has hit Japan.

Further research (err… google search for attached e.mail) leads one to this fine article in which our very same Abby Thomas was sending messages to food establishments in hopes to get enough chicken and beef shawarma to feed 150 people.

A screenshot account of said conversation can be found here.

Let that sink in a little bit. Yeah, that’s a lot.

While listening to the latest death metal cover of the song this morning we were inspired. So without further adue.. the Rebecca Black Flag shirt.

We’ve made the shirt in both black and white. Selling for only $10 with postage and handling built right into the price. Can’t really beat that. With this you’ll also see another one of our new creations – PopularVirus.com The home of the dumb internet meme shirts we’ll come up with in the future. If you could help us out and tell your friends we’d greatly appreciate it.

These past few quarters you may have noticed prices increasing throughout the marketplace and there’s a lot of speculation across forums that these issues are going to get worse. The upticks in bellwethers like the Baltic Dry Index and the recent retreat in the futures markets leaves me hopeful that the trend may not only halt but potentially reverse.

We will have to weather out this storm of higher prices though. Most mills purchase their cotton seasons in advance in hopes that the current pricing is at a relative low point and mills purchasing right now will be reflecting higher prices when these goods go to market in months to come. There are also plenty of speculators in the marketplace at the finished good level buying up stock where they can before another series of price increases hits us. This can do things to adversely affect prices by showing more demand in the short term than what is actually there.

As our vendors increase prices we will do what we can to keep you competitive in the marketplace by offering up the best value blanks at the time, and pass along any vendor specials to help save you money.

Some good resources to help understand the current cotton situation:

Bandwagon Merchandise is looking for a business and marketing intern.

The immediate responsibility of this position is data entry and would be part-time. Business hours are 10 am to 6 pm, we can be flexible for the right person if you have limited availability. The position could become permanent for the right person. We love what we do and we hope you take the opportunity to learn more and love it too. Everyone here has different responsibilities and we all work together to market, brand, design, and screenprint a wide variety of products, everything from t-shirts and hoodies to album covers and posters.

The work environment is casual i.e. no uniform, but we work hard and are serious about company growth. We listen to a wide array of music throughout the shop from doom metal like Earth to hip hop like Atmosphere. Working at Bandwagon Merch requires the occasional burrito feast or pizza day.

Please send us an email as to why you think you’re the ideal intern. Provide us with your work history, why you think you’d be a good fit for the position and your contact information. Be creative! – Intern@bandwagonmerch.com

Please don’t just drop in, offer us bribes, or call. We’ll call you.

We are very pleased to announce the Hungry Like The Wolf Tour. Take It Back, Kills and Thrills, Dead Icons and Brothers. The tour runs from October 8th through November 9th. We developed this poster for the tour and are pretty happy with the outcome.

After the initial sketches were approved we moved onto painting the beast.

The final product seems to have pleased all. We did our best to capture all of the bands on the tour and communicate the sound of the tour. Here’s the final product.

If this town is coming to your area please support our friends. They work hard for next to no money. Oh, the life of a band. Also, if you would like a full size version of the poster for yourself, or better yet to promote the show in your city, you can download it here. Thanks.
